The Clinical Sales Specialist will focus on the delivery of customer support and satisfaction and leads the assigned territory/customers as a business with responsibility for profit and revenue growth.

They will be responsible for selling to but not limited to clinical laboratories, references labs and government labs while managing the assigned territory of Quebec and the Maritimes for the following products:


  • DRI/CEDIA Toxicology Drugs of Abuse and ISD/TDM product lines.
  • BRAHMS reagents and BRAHMS Kryptor instrumentation
  • MAS quality controls and Lab Link XL peer comparison software
  • AcroMetrix molecular controls
  • Indiko Plus, MindRay BS480 and MindRay BA800 instrumentation

A Day in the Life:


  • Responsible for direct sales of the above products into a specified geographic area and effectively manage all stages of sales cycle.
  • Develops a business plan for each major account; monitors and reports progress regularly and advises Sales Manager of results.
  • Work effectively with distribution channels that support the business in addition to direct sales.
  • Establish customer pricing within defined ranges, providing price quotations and assist in preparing Bid documents, processes specifications, progress, and other reports.
  • Maintain positive relationships with business unit personnel for service and/or technical support, marketing and client/customer purchasing agents.
  • Assist in the forecasting and the projection of sales from new and existing customers for both reagents and instruments.
  • Attend various trade shows and assist in booth staffing.
  • Provide feedback and interact on a frequent basis with Sales Managers, Field Service, Customer service, Marketing, and finance.

Keys to Success:


Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in science required
  • BSc with combination of MSc/MBA desired

Experience:


  • 2 years of successful field sales, preferable in clinical diagnostic markets
  • Lab experience in lieu of sales will be accepted

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate resources and work with crossfunctional teams.
  • Ability to plan and complete activities with mínimal direct supervision.
  • Must provide detailed and timely reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and multitasking skills.
  • Detailorientation, analytical approach, strong prioritization skills.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%75% of the time.

Non-Negotiable Criteria:


  • Must be fluent in written/verbal French
  • Ability to travel without limitation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for group presentations, customer sales presentations, and intercompany written and verbal communications.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
