This opportunity
The Major Projects Branch performs management services for the large-scale capital projects and green energy projects through the Yukon. The program area includes the planning, regulatory approvals, designs, construction of major Yukon Government capital projects.
This position as Project Manager in
Green Energy will manage
Green (Renewable) Energy
Projects on Yukon Government buildings.
The position will be reporting to the Manager of the
Green Energy Program at the Major Projects Branch, Property Management Division, Highways and Public Works.
Green Energy will be responsible for:
- _Leading green energy projects on Yukon Government buildings and will have a significant part in the planning of the green energy program;_
- _Ensuring client relationships are maintained, renewable energy construction projects are delivered, planning of projects is executed and your team of consultant and contractors are supported;_
- _Overseeing the design and construction of large-scale renewable energy projects for building and major capital infrastructure, as well as planning future capital projects on Yukon Government buildings throughout the Yukon Territory._

The work will include working on new and emerging green energy technologies to help meet Yukon Government's goals in the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.

- _Experience managing capital infrastructure projects from initial planning to construction, including development and management of scope, procurement, budget, and schedule, preferably in building construction and/or green energy industry;_
- _Experience managing contractors and consultants;_
- _Experience with financial management (i.e. budgeting, planning, _analyzing_ financial data, procuring, etc.);_
- _Experience working with First Nation Governments_
- _Experience in the Renewable Energy field is an asset._

Valid Yukon Class 5 driver's licence
