About the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Provincial Manager Intake & NOAT the secretary is accountable and responsible for providing administrative/secretarial support with mínimal supervision to manager and to the Continuing Care Referral Assistants.

The Secretary is responsible for efficient prioritization of multiple responsibilities to meet the requirements of the service utilizing initiative, judgment and knowledge in a highly confidential setting.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade XII plus graduation from a recognized one year secretarial or office administration course
  • One year secretarial experience required
  • Experience working in a medical setting required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Demonstrated computer skills; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point), Internet and
  • Email, Star Navigator, PHS and Time Capture an asset
  • Excellent organizational, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Experience in maintaining and managing confidential client information
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
  • Able to multitask, prioritize and work in a busy fast pace team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with public, partners and stakeholders, and referral sources
  • Competencies in other languages an asset; French preferred

Hours:


  • Long Assignment Fulltime Position; 70 hours biweekly
  • Approximately 12 months
  • Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends and holidays

Compensation and Incentives:

$ $22.50 Hourly
