We currently have an opportunity for an Office Manager position.

Description:
- Assist in managing Airbnbs and long term rentals
- Overseeing maintenance team and admin
- Send out updates to clients, potential clients and staff
- Meeting monthly KPI's and overseeing the daytoday operations of the business
- Scheduling maintenance, sending out leases, and basic quality control
- Keep property list up to date on excel/creating spreadsheets, organizing data and managing landlord database
- Maintains property by investigating and resolving tenant complaints, enforcing rules of occupancy, inspecting vacant units to ensure quality and presentation.
- Reports the issues of the properties to landlords and management, troubleshoots small issues.
- Keeps log of unit quality
- Ensuring all staff are aware of the Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Ensuring the maintenance of the company vehicles and keeping them ready for the road everyday
- Create appropriate cleaning schedules for your personnel
- Providing friendly customer service to tenants and guests
- Offering input on growth strategies for the company, leads small team
- Additional duties to be assigned according to the demands of the situation
Bookkeeper Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
- Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
- Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
- Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
- Maintains historical records by filing documents.
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Proven experience in office admin or other managerial role
- At least one year of relevant experience in office administration related industries or property management or bookkeeping
- Holds and maintain a valid Ontario Driver's license with a clean driving record
- General understanding of the Airbnb model, kijiji and other rental websites
- Ability to use an Iphone and apps such as Airbnb, whatsapp, timetree etc.
- Exceptional leadership, planning and execution skills, with attention to detail
- Be organized, flexible, ability to multitask and shift smoothly between numerous projects based on priority
- Able to work independently and in stressful environments
- Able to lift and carry up to 30lbs when required
- Has a "do what it takes" attitude to meet tight deadlines and be a contributing member in a team environment
Job Types:
Full-time, occasional night and weekend shift required (on call)
Salary:
$20.00-$34.47 per hour
Flexible Language Requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- QuickBooks: 1 year (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
