Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House is looking for caring, passionate and flexible individuals to join our dynamic child care team as
Temporary Full Time ECE's and ECEA's to work as floaters in our Early Years programs. We are a Learning Centre with amazing opportunities for professional development and for collaborative efforts with other educators and with the community as a whole.

As a member of the Association of Neighbourhood Houses of BC (ANHBC), FHNH is recognized for our innovative and inclusive approach in working with staff, volunteers and community.

Responsibilities:

Our Temporary ECE's, ECEA's Floaters are responsible for the provision of quality care and education for the children in our Early Years programs across our Children's Centres.

We are an inclusive, multicultural, dynamic and collaborative child care setting which includes working with other educators to plan and implement a progressive and innovative program inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and Frog Hollow's Neighbourhood House approach.

Other responsibilities include developing strong relationships and communication with children, families and colleagues, and implementing high standards of care and supervision that promote the well being of all children.

Qualifications Required:

Experience working in a licensed childcare setting is an asset
ECE, ECEA
Knowledge of the Early Learning Framework (BC)
Passion for constant learning in partnership with children, families and colleagues
An eagerness to work as part of a collaborative, supportive and dynamic team in a nonprofit, inclusive and volunteerbased organization
Creativity, initiative, enthusiasm and a sense of humor
First Aid Certificate

$4.00 WE will be added to the hourly rate for those applicants with a valid ECE or IT license.

Plus 6% vacation time and lots of opportunity for paid professional development.

This is a Temporary, Full Time, 7 month contract with possibility of extension or becoming permanent. Shifts vary from 7:00 to 6:00 and are 8 hrs shifts with 1 hr unpaid lunch break.
