Vice President, Contract Manufacturing & Optimization


Work Location:

Annual Base Salary Range:
$110,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience (40 hours per week) - permanent/full-time

Key Responsibilities:


  • Utilize prior experience running manufacturing environments and sourcing to enable Progress Luv2Pak to have optimized working relationships with our contract manufacturers all over the world.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of strategic plans and business objectives to optimize our outsourced, contract manufacturing relationships, processes and ensuring alignment with the company's goals and industry best practices.
  • Oversee the development and execution of policies with regards to best practices for product sourcing, contract manufacturing and process improvement.
  • Manage the allocation of materials, personnel, and financial resources to implement company policies and programs.
  • Establish financial controls and manage a Research & Development budget of over $500,000.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of a standardized performance metric for process improvement.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators for the company's offshore factories' operational results, including safety, quality, cost and service.
  • Oversee the implementation of lean manufacturing principles issue with overseas partners.
  • Implement rigorous quality control standards to ensure mínimal defects with our contract manufacturing partners.
  • Assist the purchasing team in sourcing new partners and bringing them to the standard of our highest level suppliers.
  • Manage the identification of gaps and opportunities in current processes and work with the business to implement solutions.
  • Work closely with the IT and Data Analytics teams on various projects that involve automation, batch jobs and process standardization in order to help improve the daytoday operations within Supply Chain.
  • Oversee the activities of, and provide leadership to a team of direct reports that will be initially comprised of a Director, Procurement, a Logistics Manager, two Senior Buyers and a Junior Buyer.

Required Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience overseeing paper converting and manufacturing operations, and indepth understanding of paper and paperconverted products.
  • 10+ years of experience in a senior management role within a largescale, packaging manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to analyze manufacturing costs and identify areas for cost optimization.
  • Experience establishing financial controls and managing a budget within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and employee development and engagement experience.
  • Experience overseeing a team of 20+ employees.
