1 ‐ Casual ‐ Clerk IV

Operating Room
Under the general direction of the Manager ‐ Perioperative Services and guidance of the Perioperative Coordinator

or designate, the Clerk IV performs receptionist and clerical duties for the Operating Room as required.


Qualifications:

  • Secondary school diploma with a certificate in Secretarial Arts/Office Administration or equivalent experience (1
year minimum)

  • Minimum 2 years recent experience (during past 5 years) in the Perioperative setting
Excel, GroupWise, Meditech OR Module)

  • Must possess good interpersonal skills including an excellent customer focused approach to patients and families.
Superior interpersonal communication skills (verbal, written, and telephone)

  • Radiates a positive attitude and collaborative approach to interprofessional colleagues
  • Knowledge of booking processes and requirements
  • Previous demonstrated experience using Community Wide Scheduling for booking purposes
  • Demonstrated superior knowledge generating technical reports from multiple data sources
  • Extensive knowledge of medical terminology and standard abbreviations particularly in the Perioperative field
  • Highly motivated & organized individual with the ability to prioritize activities independently in a high stress
environment

  • Excellent problem solving ability related to technical systems and potential process flow improvements

Salary Range:
$27.838 to 28.475
