We are a growing private practice serving clients in the York Region areas. We are looking for an enthusiastic Communicative Disorders Assistant to join our close team.We see a wide range of children with speech and language difficulties including:
language delays, articulation and motor speech difficulties, fluency, developmental delays and AAC.
Position structure is flexible based on the right applicant and can include full time, part time, contract of salary options.

Job Details:
- Work in collaboration with Speech-Language Pathologists, Communicative Disorders Assistants and Recreational Therapists
- Maintain records in keeping with CASLPO standards
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and families
- Follow a treatment plan created by a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Provide treatment to clients in their homes and in clinic
- Ability to make your own schedule
- Provide communication support and services to adults and their caregivers within a day program and residential setting
- Potential to assist with marketing and social media.
- Potential to assist with development of new programs.
- Assist with technology including AAC devices
Graduate Certificate as a Communicative Disorders Assistant

Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
:
- Strong group facilitation skills. This position will require facilitating various activities with groups of individuals.
- Experience with program planning and implementation.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
- Experience working with individuals with a variety of needs and diagnoses.
- Selfmotivated, eager to learn.
- Experience working with both adults and children with speech, language or literacy concerns.
- Ability to follow a treatment plan outlined by a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Ability to create and carry out engaging therapy sessions.
- Ability to adapt to a wide range of client needs.
- Flexibility and time management skills to manage a continually changing caseload.
- Proficient in computer skills (Word, Powerpoint, Boardmaker)
- Experience with AAC an asset.
- Valid driver's license, use of own vehicle and willing to travel.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week
Salary:
$65.00-$80.00 per hour
