Description
The Repair Shop Service Manager's responsibilities include inventory management, parts operations, and ordering. They are also required to manage employees of the automotive department.

They must ensure that replacement parts inventory is maintained at an appropriate level to increase service department efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Requires strong customer service skills.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Offer an excellent customer service
  • Talk to clients about discovered problems (diagnostics) with their vehicle
  • Prepare quotes and estimates of work cost
  • Manage the parts inventory levels closely for auto repair and sales needs without delay based on projected demand and matching cost targets
  • Leverage the inventory control systems to record and track auto part sales and auto repair work
  • Track records for auto parts warranties
  • Maintain a good relationship with suppliers and sales representatives
  • Returning parts
  • Scheduling appointments for clients
  • Organizing the automotive mechanics' time
  • Prepare customers invoices
  • Conduct sales transactions
  • Handles customer complaints immediately and according to the dealership's guidelines
  • Helps answering phone calls
  • Must be bilingual
  • Tech savvy
  • Abide by safety policies and procedures
  • Enforces safety requirements
  • Supervise the shop employees

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Highschool diploma is required;
  • At least one year of experience in auto repair or auto parts sales is a must;
  • Management experience is a plus;
  • Excellent product knowledge, customer service skills, administrative skills, and organizational skills are necessary to manage inventory effectively;
  • Indepth product knowledge of auto parts;
  • Be in possession of mechanics automotive licenses would be an asset;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written;
  • Mathematical skills would be an asset;
  • Sales and customer service skills;
  • Must be bilingual
