What you'll do:
Reporting to the Site Manager, your general responsibilties include:
- Proper handling and management of flammable, hazardous, and non-hazardous products and wastes as scheduled or required.
- Monitor and remove all flammable, hazardous, and nonhazardous products and waste from line side and move to designated areas.
- Responsible for inspections and record keeping.
- Assist other team members as needed (including plant trash and recyclables).
- Special assignments or tasks as requested.(E.g. Shutdown)
- Report all recognized unsafe conditions or acts.
- Good reading skills for understanding labels and standard operating procedures
Responsibilities specific to this role include:
- Training as back-up in HazMat's 1 &
- Focusing on Skid Reclaim/Collection plant-wide
- Plant 2 Compactor Room Sorting as to HCM's Circular Recycling Process
- Collection of Kevlar Products from Stamping and Welds
- Collection of Ricoh Toner Cartridges
- Support of Facilities Projects and Innovations
Qualifications:
- Ability to operate all available equipment (forklift, Cushman, etc.) in adherence with training procedures and company policies.
- Proven ability to thrive in a teambased organization, be detail oriented, and enjoy continuous learning.
- Ability to work 6:00am to 2:30pm, or 7:30am 4pm, Monday to Friday.
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm to complete tasks, and willingness to contribute to a successful team.
- Good written, mechanical and communication skills.
- Authorization to work in Canada.
