KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Program Assistant supports the smooth operation of clerical activities within the Program of The Family Support Fund
  • Support projectrelated activities and tasks within the FSF program, including:
  • Assisting with initiatives related to the Application process
  • Supporting communication plans and client and family engagement initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Customer service related experience
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Empathetic and professional customer service skills
  • Applicable knowledge of client and familycentred care
  • Account/bookkeeping experience
  • A well cultivated critical thinker who gathers and assesses relevant information, thinks openmindedly and communicates effectively with others in figuring out solutions to complex problems
  • Proactive, with exceptional organizational skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Works collaboratively within a team environment
  • Skilled and comfortable with MS 2010

Office Products:
Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook

  • Experience with database platforms an assessment
  • High school diploma and some additional education around health administration.

Additional Requirements

  • Youth between the ages of 15 and 30 (at the start of the employment)
  • Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or have official refugee protection status under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Youth hired for a CSJfunded job should not be already employed fulltime by the organization. However, a youth working parttime for an employer, or who has previously worked for an employer as part of a Coop placement is eligible for a CSJfunded job
