We're looking for a full-time senior backend software engineer to develop our backend services, our search components and our data pipeline.

What you'll do

• Participate in the design, development and maintenance of our backend services and our data pipeline.
• Participate in the design, development and maintenance of our search related components and other high-performance components written in Rust.
• Actively contribute to the architecture decisions and specifications of our solution.
• Participate in the monitoring and troubleshooting of our production deployments.
  

Requirements

• 5y+ of experience as a Senior Backend Engineer
• Working from Canada
• Knowledge of:
  • Go programming language
  • Distributed systems and service-oriented architecture
  • Databases architecture (Relational and Non-SQL)
  • High performance code, benchmarking and optimization
  • Low-level programming language (Rust / C / C++)
  • Detail oriented and methodological approach to development as the candidate will be actively participating to the R&D efforts (following SR&ED methodologies)

Nice to have

• Working from Canada
• Knowledge of:
  • Rust, or a strong willingness to learn and excel in it
  • Information retrieval, including full-text and similarity/vector search gRPC (and Protobuf)
  • Data engineering principles
  • NLP-related machine learning techniques
  • Operationalizing machine learning systems
