Mercanti Specialty Foods, a division of Carmen's Group Inc., is looking for a passionate and driven individual as our next Quality Assurance Supervisor / Manager

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance programs that adhere to CFIA regulations and industry standards
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
Manage and train the quality control team to conduct routine inspections and audits of production processes and finished products
Identify and implement corrective action for nonconformance issues
Monitor and report on quality performance metrics to senior management
Conduct internal and external audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Collaborate with production and R&D teams to ensure new products are developed and manufactured in compliance with food safety regulations
Coordinate and participate in CFIA inspections and audits, and address any findings or issues identified
Maintain uptodate knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in food safety and quality assurance

YOU BRING:

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance management in the food industry, with specific experience in CFIA regulations
HACCP Certification
Experience conducting audits and inspections, addressing nonconformance issues
Strong knowledge of GMP, food safety regulations and industry best practices
Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
