About the Position:

The Production Planner prepares day-to-day production activities ensuring equipment, material, and resources are used efficiently.

Our Planner will work closely with our sales, warehouse, and production staff to optimize production methods and deliver quality products to our customers.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for establishing daytoday, weektoweek production schedules.
Reviewing production orders as they come in.
Responsible for the issuing and processing of work orders and advising sequencing to the Production Floor leadership.
Liaising between Sales and Production to ensure timelines of delivered products.
Create reports to keep stakeholders updated as to the status of product inventory (including new and promoted products), component inventory, and available work for the Production Floor.
Collection and analysis of production and inventory data to aid in decision making.
Draft Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions for the tasks and deliverables performed.
Participate in monthly and yearend Inventory including warehouse counting and systems reconciliation.
Such further and other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum 1 year experience in production planning
Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced working knowledge in Excel.
Experience with ERP systems considered an asset.
Education in manufacturing processes, inventory control, quality systems and purchasing preferred.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Interpersonal skills, including ability to collaborate and influence others.
Highly motivated and good at problem solving.
Thrive in a fastpaced environment.
