About Covenant House Vancouver:

Since 1997, Covenant House Vancouver has provided relentless support for youth experiencing, or at-risk of experiencing, homelessness.

We provide support to young people age 16 to 24 who have experienced a wide range of early life and ongoing, complex trauma; including physical, sexual and emotional abuse and neglect.

Our purpose is to serve all youth, with absolute respect and unconditional love, to help youth experiencing homelessness, and provide a safe and supportive environment for all youth in need.

The Impact A Building Services Worker With The Operations Team Can Make:
The Building Service Worker ensures that buildings are cleaned on a daily basis, utilizing daily cleaning lists.

The building Service Worker responds to emergency clean-ups as necessary, and maintains the janitorial log at the end of each shift.

How You Will Contribute:

Complete Daily Scheduled Cleaning List (includes weekly tasks)
Maintain Janitorial Log at end of every shift
Prepare weekly order form for new cleaning supplies.
Advise Building Services Manager of any building maintenance required
Set up for special events (e.g. All Team Meetings)
Work with vendors as directed
Move/assemble furniture as required
Repair/ paint vacated rooms as required.
Perform houseman duties as assigned.
Applicant must have a valid class 5 drivers license.
Other duties as assigned

Who We Are Looking For?:

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma
A Provincial or other vocational or professional certificate/degree is preferred
WHMIS Certificate
A minimum of two year related experience
Beneficial to have electrical or plumbing apprenticeship experience
