Development Manager - Calgary, Canada - Higher Ground Consulting

Description

Mobility Hubs are dedicated facilities for commercial trucks to fuel/charge. These sites are located within industrial clusters, near major roadways and typically range from 1-4 acres in size.

Technologies deployed at these sites include EV charging infrastructure, hydrogen fueling infrastructure, distributed energy resources (DERs) such as solar and onsite battery energy storage systems (BESS) and small buildings.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Track record of developing capital energy or EV charging projects, preferably in the Commercial & Industrial energy and mobility domains.
• Experience at conducting project feasibility due diligence, including familiarity with utilities (gas and electric), regulatory filings, and Western US jurisdictional requirements.
• Experience managing successful project development teams, including oversight of budgets and schedules.
• High degree of comfort with managing external and internal stakeholders to advance conversations.
• Experience monitoring and reporting project/portfolio performance to executive leadership.
• Skilled at interpreting multidisciplinary technical documents (e.g., electrical, civil, environmental, process)

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Project Management
• A graduate degree and/or PMP designation will be beneficial
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to travel to project sites on a regular basis for site visits and inperson meetings with stakeholders and conference.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Flexible and open to changing priorities and multitasking.
• Creative, strategic, forwardthinking mindset.
• Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.

This position is a full-time remote position, with expected 25-30% travel requirement to sites in the Western US.
