    We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will report to the Director, Finances, and contribute in supporting the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization. With advanced financial analysis and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes to drive strategic decision-making, cost optimization, and profitability, he/she will play a key role in the analysis of the financial results, participate in the budgeting and forecasting process and presentation to the leadership team.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct thorough financial analysis to explain financial results and variances to budget/forecast
    • Present the results to senior management and stakeholders
    • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance
    • Participate in strategic initiatives including Merger and Acquisitions

    Budgeting and Forecasting

    • Prepare and manage annual budgets with the stakeholders
    • Monitor budget variances and provide insights to support budgetary control measures
    • Forecast financial performance based on current trends and future expectations

    Internal Controls

    • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
    • Monitor compliance with internal control policies and procedures
    • Implement improvements to strengthen internal controls as needed

    Leadership and Collaboration

    • Work closely with the operations team and provide them with support and guidance to ensure the financial performance
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance and operation department

    Your profile

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related
    • Must possess CPA or CFA designation
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance
    • Experience in cost accounting in a complex manufacturing environment
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting requirements
    • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting techniques and in financial modeling
    • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner (French and English)
    • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Technical knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRS") is an asset
