About the Role

Reporting to the VP of Investment & Partnerships, the Key Account Manager serves as a key member of the business development team and actively seeks out and builds successful relationships with Amii's potential and existing clients and service delivery teams.

The Key Account Manager will liaise with Amii's existing clients as well as seek out new business, primarily in Western Canada.

They will effectively guide clients through the sales process and expertly close sales agreements to deliver Amii's AI capacity building programs to valued clients.

The role focuses on achieving excellence in three main accountabilities:

  • Growing revenue from Amii's AI capacity-building programs for business in Western Canada.
  • Effectively building and maintaining client relationships within targeted industry and advanced technology sectors across stakeholder groups.
  • Developing and iterating repeatable processes to enable Amii to scale up and connect with organizations in the market

Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaboratively work with the client from a solutionsfocused perspective to remove barriers, perceived or real.
  • Embrace personal development and learning opportunities and incorporate coaching and mentoring received in your pivotal work with clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency on the Investment & Partnerships team and take tangible actions to execute improvements.
  • Maintain and improve systems and tools in the organization that lead to measurable efficiency gains.
  • Proactively build lasting relationships with clients to nurture success and reduce churn.
  • Provide client input to the technical operations teams to assist in identifying and prioritizing product and program improvements.
  • Partner with the technical operations teams to successfully onboard and deliver value to new and current clients.
  • Improve processes and best practices throughout the entire client journey through data analysis.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better upsell and crosssell to clients
  • Be the first point of customer contact for potential Amii clients.
  • Conduct discovery calls with prospects, including learning about clients' pain points, conducting presentations about Amii's services, and articulating Amii's ability to help clients achieve their business objectives.
  • Support technical discussions between prospects and Amii's Product Owners and Machine Learning (ML) Scientists.
  • Report weekly on active opportunities, expected close dates and new revenue projections.
  • Maintain and grow the sales opportunity pipeline.
  • Ensure all client information related to the sales opportunity pipeline is tracked in Amii's CRM.
  • Provide feedback to marketing and product teams to continuously improve Amii's sales process and client experience.
  • Limited travel within Alberta may be required from time to time.

Required Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of sales experience in technology or service organization
  • University undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Drive and tenacity to follow through with clients to achieve sales targets within medium to long sales cycles.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets and receiving exceptional client feedback
  • Proficiency with common client success and client relationship management software.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
