Role description
The Operations Manager coordinates, organizes, and oversees all activities involved in the identification, acquisition, production and distribution of goods within our organization.
Ensures the optimal quantities of supplies and products are available at the distribution centers and Fig Bars to provide a seamless guest experience.
The Supply Chain & Facilities Manager will also oversee facilities and maintenance for our retail and support office locations.The Operations Manager will report into the VP, Operations and work cross-functionally with the other business units.
Role responsibilities
Platform Management
- Implement protocols, procedures and strategies that make the supply operations efficient and drive bottomline profitability
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with suppliers, vendors, and shipping contacts throughout the procurement lifecycle; proactively engage suppliers in identifying potential issues, resolutions and opportunities
- Inventory Management: Accountable for accurate and efficient inventory counts for all distribution centers
- Work crossfunctionally with strong crosschannel collaboration using the right resources + technology delivering exceptional guest experience
- Continually develop playbook and processes to develop high performing team
- Build, develop, schedule, manage and lead high performing Supply Chain team to execute supply chain strategies
- Manage freight transportation + receiving
- Manage customs + brokerage & carrier relations
- Optimize fulfillment end to end with precision, including shipping costs + timelines following a clear journey of processes
- Maintain well organized & efficient distribution centers & processes
- Internal Logistics: optimize transfers end to end with precision, including shipping costs + timelines to avoid adhoc transfers
- Accountable to monitor Supply Chain business unit KPIs and weekly / monthly analytics and reporting
- Manage all facilities maintenance inquiries and execute on any Improvements or repairs as needed
- Manage maintenance ticket flow through Asana boards and Prospr
- Bring considerations together for VP of Operations with decisions regarding designing of our spaces, quotes for any facilities related upgrades
- Lead the endtoend process for any new build outs and locations crossfunctionally
- Manager the relationship with our landlords for site related inquiries (i.e. fire alarm testing)
- Maintain any adhoc crossfunctional facilities projects
How we measure success
Operational KPIs
- Order cycle time = (time customer received order time customer placed order) / # total shipped orders
- Average cost of shipping per order = total shipping costs / total number of orders
- Inventory shrink = inventory loss through theft, product returns and / or damages
- Storage efficiency = inventory per sqft
- Fulfillment efficiency = internal fulfillment expense / Fig Bar sales
- Supply Chain labor productivity = Supply Chain labor expense / total sales
- Time to Receive = time for stock validation + time to add stock to records + time to prep stock for storage
- Put away time = total time to stow received stock
- Order fulfillment accuracy = perfectly packed orders / total orders
- Order fulfillment speed = total time required to pack one order
- Lead time = order process time + delivery lead time
- Perfect order rate = [(# orders delivered on time / # orders) x (# orders complete / # orders) x (# orders damage free / # orders) x (# orders with accurate documentation / # orders)] x 100
