About Nuform Building Technologies:

Nuform Building Technologies is a leading PVC extrusion plant specializing in the production of high-quality building materials.


As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Shipping Department Lead Hand to join our team and contribute to our success.


As the Shipping Department Lead Hand, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our shipping department.

Your primary duties will include identifying materials, preparing them for packaging, operating equipment such as a table saw and forklift, and ensuring all shipping processes are carried out accurately and safely.


Responsibilities:


  • Identify material by color and job specifications.
  • Retrieve bulk material from the material holding areas.
  • Unload and load material from trailers, skids, boxes, crates.
  • Prepare material for packaging.
  • Visually identify material for packaging purposes.
  • Construct skids.
  • Wrap material in plastic for shipping purposes.
  • Steal strap skids.
  • Pack material into boxes using materials such as 2x4 pieces of wood, plywood, nails, and cardboard.
  • Unload material onto panelization table.
  • Assemble panel box for material transport.
  • Fasten material with 2x4's and drilling.
  • Strap material together.
  • Operate equipment, including occasionally using a table saw to cut pieces of wood.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilograms.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for administrative duties.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime as needed.
