The Role

  • The Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration is seeking a contract faculty member(s) to teach in the Accounting Department commencing May 2024.
    ResponsibilitiesTo Be Successful in this Role You Will Need** 1. A Canadian CPA designation in good standing, bachelor degree
  • Relevant senior level work experience in a business environment minimum five years
  • Be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Be qualified to teach at least two of the following courses:

ACCT 1222 Computer Applications for Accounting
ACCT 3420 Intermediate Managerial Accounting
ACCT 4520 Advanced Management Accounting
ACCT 3410 Intermediate Accounting II
ACCT 4510 Advanced Financial Accounting
ACCT 3880 Data Analytics for Managers
ACCT 3850 Detecting Accounting Fraud

  • Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree and/or relevant PhD
  • Be able to teach ACCT 3850 Detecting Accounting Fraud
  • Be able to integrate topic specific data analytics in accounting courses
  • Experience delivering in face to face, blended learning and fully online
