The Edmonton International Airport is home to numerous businesses and is continuing to grow the Airport City Sustainability Campus.

The real estate team continues to explore new avenues for real estate development and property management and fostering relationships is key in success for all parties.

Reporting to the Manager, Real Estate Development, the Property Management Specialist is accountable for general property management coordination and to be a liaison between Edmonton Airports and the third-party property management contractor.

This position works close with internal and external legal counsel in leasing and licensing preparation, and ensures tenants are in compliance within contractual obligations.

This position has strong cross functional linkages to Legal, Finance, Operations & Asset Management.

Day in The Life

Communicate, collaborate, and work closely with third party property management contractor
Problem solves on a daily basis
Collaborate with all internal teams, including Security, Safety, Maintenance, Operations, Technical Services, Legal and Finance
Ensuring lease documentation is accurately completed, adhered to, and tracked in our property management software
Working with the legal department to prepare legal documents
Administration of lease and license agreements
Collaborating with technical services department for lease drawing requests, permit reviews, and record drawings
Budget oversight, regular review of financials, variance reporting, collections support with finance team
Tenant relations focus, responding to various tenant requests and requests from internal departments as they relate to tenant requirements and needs
Work in our property management system (MRI) to input and track lease information
Maintain inventory of space and preparing vacancy report
Coordinate execution of agreements both external and internal
First point of contact for tenants, providing customer service, conflict resolution and addressing any non-compliance issues
Other duties as required


Special Requirements:


You Have:
Business degree, diploma, certificate in property management/real estate, business administration, or equivalent field
5+ years of property administration and/or property management experience
A real estate certification would be considered an asset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills, financial budgets and analysis knowledge is considered an asset
Ability to manage a diverse real estate portfolio
Demonstrated strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to understand the real estate law specifically for commercial/industrial leasing
Exceptional project management ability, organization, and time management skills
Team oriented with a history of being a self-starter and the ability to work with mínimal supervision
Ability to utilize property management software (MRI) considered an asset
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must secure and maintain appropriate airport security clearance and acceptable criminal records check.
