We are seeking a proficient Field Service Support professional with fluency in both English and French to join our team as a Desktop Technician.

This role will be based in La Tuque, QC, and will involve providing technical support and assistance to end-users in both languages.


Responsibilities:


  • Disconnecting/reconnecting computer workstations, peripherals, and phone equipment.
  • Handson experience with imaging and reimaging Windows Operating systems for Desktops and Laptops.
  • Safely moving equipment point to point using wheeled carts and vehicles.
  • IMACD & Asset Inventory experience.
  • Following ESD safety precautions to avoid electrostatic discharge or equipment damage.
  • Delivery and setup of PC equipment to endusers.
  • Provisioning and supporting wireless devices (e.g., Blackberry, Android, iPhone).
  • Installation of desktop software and troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
  • Significant experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Apple OS X.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills with hard drive encryption software.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong clientside remote access troubleshooting skills.
  • Supporting printers in an enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge of clientside management tools such as Microsoft Active Directory, GPO, and Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
  • Creating and referencing documentation and knowledge articles.
  • Software installation and support skills.
  • Disciplined, systematic problemsolving skills.

Requirements:


  • Fluency in both English and French (spoken and written).
  • Relevant experience as a Desktop Technician or similar role.
  • Know Windows 10, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 98
Know Servers: 2012, 2008 r2, 2008, 2003, 2000

  • Functionally capable with Apple OS X
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills with hard drive encryption software
  • Advanced level skills in the

Microsoft Office Suite:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook configuration issues with Exchange

  • Strong clientside remote access troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrate strong skills supporting printers in an enterprise environment
  • Advanced knowledge of clientside management tools
  • Microsoft Active Directory, GPO and Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
  • Strong proficiency in creating and referencing documentation and knowledge articles using Micron tools
  • Strong software installation and support skills
  • Disciplined, systematic problem solving skills required
  • Strong technical skills in desktop support and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
