- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical components utilized in the company and packaging departments, such as flow wrappers and metal detectors.
- Ability to make major and minor adjustments to equipment within a reasonable timeframe.
- Conduct enhancements to equipment/systems, explore and evaluate new equipment, maintain comprehensive maintenance records, and ensure accessibility of all relevant information.
- Responsible for both corrective and preventive maintenance on a variety of mechanical equipment.
- Implementing equipment/system improvements, researching, and testing new equipment, and maintaining maintenance records.
- Additional related duties as directed and assigned by the Supervisor and Manager.
- 5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical work, encompassing setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
- Preferred possession of a valid Industrial skilled trades license (Millwright) from Ontario or any Canadian province, although not mandatory.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with good mechanical aptitude
- Able to report to a 4 day / 10-hour shift
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
