    Process Industries division delivers complete electrification and automation solutions, industry-specific products and lifecycle services across industries.     Mission Statement: Design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

    Your responsibilities

    • Technical contribution:
    • Leads engineering activities for mine hoist projects requiring drives, programmable logic controllers (PLC), motor control centers (MCC), transformers, motors and others.
    • Prepares equipment specifications of mine hoist electrical and control system.
    • Prepares electrical schematics and equipment layouts. Prepares cable and interconnection lists.
    • Prepares programmable logic controller programs.
    • Ensures proper interface between all elements of the mine hoist system.
    • Prepares and/or verifies the test plans and results of all electrical and control equipment delivered on project.
    • Participates in commissioning activities at the customer sites.
    • People leadership and development: Assigns tasks to and coordinates work with entry level engineers, technicians, administrative staff, within assigned projects.
    • Customer: Assists customers on technical issues, interacts with official contacts, contractors and other staff within his/her scope of deliverables. Assist communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.
    • Project management: Supports Project Managers in providing quality solutions as per customer requirements and delivery within budget and contract terms. Ensures adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks.
    • Planning and control: Ensures quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost. Improves effectiveness of work plan in collaboration with other functions.
    • Processes and tools: Uses standard processes and tools applicable to one's area of responsibility. Ensures that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements. Reports processes and tools inefficiencies and suggests improvements ideas.

    Your background

    • Electrical engineer and member of the OIQ or another provincial professional association with 3 to 8 years of relevant project experience.
    • Good presentation and communication skills.
    • French and English spoken and written languages. Spanish is an asset.
    • Strong leadership/interpersonal skills/Conflict resolution/Negotiation skills.
    • Good understanding of Customer needs / Good Customer relations.
    • Strong ability to influence people, building trust and credibility.
    • Display integrity.
    • Computer and programmable logic controller (PLC) literate.
    • Experience in the Mining Industry would be an asset.
