Alpha Technologies Ltd. has an opportunity for a
Contract Quality Technologist to join our Quality group
in our Burnaby location.
_This is a temporary 6 month contract._
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Technologist is responsible for performing quality assurance audit on products/processes, to ensure procedures, documentation and drawing requirements are met and followed.
The incumbent will be required to read and interpret drawings, procedures and instructions to ensure compliance of the product with applicable standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide preproduction qualification and manufacturing support as required by performing required process quality measurements:
- incoming part inspections on electronic power modules and metal parts
- product documentation review
- collecting and reporting data.
- Provide support to manufacturing and assists in problem identification and resolution.
- Collaborate with other departments to determine priorities and delegate tasks.
- Identify and resolve technical support problems of medium complexity, advising appropriate management levels of results.
- Organize, perform First Article Inspection activities, report results and initiate corrective actions to nonconformances.
- Prepare standard reports, summarizes results, and maintains records.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English
- Associate Degree or Technical Diploma with equivalent experience
years' experience in a manufacturing environment, including 3 years in a position directly related to Incoming Quality Inspection of electronic devices.
- Ability to follow documented procedures and standards such as ISO900
- Team Player able to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and demanding work environment
