Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Nursing Manager to oversee the nursing department's operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in compliance with regulatory standards.
The Nursing Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the nursing staff while fostering collaborative and efficient work.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the daily operations of the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Recruit, train, and supervise nursing staff, ensuring adherence to professional standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain and enhance patient care quality.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and ensure seamless coordination of care.
Monitor and evaluate departmental performance metrics, implementing improvements and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, administration, and other departments to facilitate effective communication and teamwork.
Cultivate a positive work culture that encourages professional development and fosters a supportive environment for staff.
Key Requirements:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
Proven experience in a nursing leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of Ontario healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively manage resources, prioritize tasks, and problem-solve in a dynamic environment.
Proficiency in using healthcare management software and systems.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in nursing; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
