Description
The Purchasing Coordinator is an important part of the supply chain process.This individual contributes to the success of the organization by driving service excellence by working with manufacturers to reduce discrepancies in parts, producing reports, and tracking parts, and does so accurately, quickly, and cost-effectively.
This position has major impact on customers' satisfaction because it directly affects the speed and quality of service, both in terms of parts delivery to end users, and in contributing to the Service Technicians' first-time fix rates.
Core Responsibilities
- Manages the relationship with manufacturers to resolve parts shortages, damages and other issues that arise.
- Processes part returns to manufacturers and suppliers.
- Processes replenishment within authority.
- Processes relevant inventory reports.
- Creates new part numbers for service.
- Updates system with relevant tracking information
Education, Experience, and Licenses/Certifications
- High school graduation required.
- Formal education in Purchasing, Inventory Management, or other relevant field.
- Minimum 2 years experience working in a directly related field.
- Experience with a current ERP system an asset.
