    Description
    *Credit Analyst**Employment Status*: 6-month Contract/Full-time Permanent

    *Reporting to*: Head and Manager, Credit Risk Management Department

    *Location*: Richmond Hill, Ontario

    *Responsibilities
    • Analyzing and evaluating the risks of CRE proposals, reviewing the documents from a legal and compliance perspective, checking the conformity of conditions precedent, and ensuring the perfection of legal documentation prior to loan advance.
    • Providing an overall risk analysis opinion and recommendation based on the credit rating, credit facility limit, collateral value, facility structure, lending terms, and other conditions, and submitting it to CRMD Head/Manager or another authorized person for verification.
    • Monitoring and reviewing the approved CRE credit facilities that align with the Bank's credit policy periodically.
    • Performing other duties assigned by CRMD Head/Manager, such as conducting CRE industry analysis annually.
    • Reviewing and commenting on the reasonableness of the customer credit rating proposed by business originators and whether the rating scorecard has properly demonstrated the customer rating.
    • Reviewing and commenting on the reasonableness of the credit limit requested by business originators.
    • Reviewing the reasonableness of collateral valuation and revaluation, making comments on collateral appraisal reports.
    • Overseeing post-lending management conducted by business originators.
    *Requirements
    • Minimum 5 years of risk management experience in financial industry.
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or other quantitative disciplines.
    • Solid understanding of risk factors, control methodologies and monitoring tools with hands-on experience with ERM, Basel III and ICAAP.
    • In-depth knowledge of Canadian Banking and related regulatory requirements.
    • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong oral and written communication skill in English.
    • Chinese language skill is an asset.
    • FRM,CFA or CPA designation is preferred.
