- Supervise a team of unionized warehouse employees, including delegation of tasks, training, coaching, and directing corrective action to resolve day-to-day operational issues
- Plans, communicates and executes daily shift work plan outlining work assignments
- Continuously monitor the performance and activities of the warehouse using KPIs with a primary focus on cost controls
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, or equipment
- Ensure all orders are shipped to customers promptly including investigation of lost or damaged shipments
- Other tasks as required
- Diploma, degree, or post-secondary education or equivalent experience
- 5 years of work experience in a supervisory role ideally in a unionized warehouse environment
- A proven leader with strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management
- Experience with MS Office, radio frequency ID systems (RFID), bar code systems, and electronic data interchange (EDI) is an asset
- Able to report to an Afternoon shift
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
