- Operate and set up all CNC Milling machines to support all Tooling requirements by meeting or exceeding daily production requirements with little supervision.
- Change tooling for various jobs.
- Set up and modify existing programs.
- Create new programs from drawings.
- Troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Understand and follow safety requirements as outlined in Health and Safety Manual and review at monthly Health and Safety meetings.
- Understand and follow housekeeping instructions as outlined in Employee Handbook.
- Maintain equipment to run efficiently.
- Work with fellow employees problem solving.
- Complete work orders with information required.
- 3+ years' experience working in an automotive manufacturing setting
- Machining/ Programming Certificate
- Work experience in maintenance or tool room department is considered an asset
- Machining of wide range of materials
- Knowledge of Fanuc based controls
- Experience with Vertical Machining Centres
- Mechanically inclined, computer and math literate, able to read drawings
- Knowledge of CNC controllers
- Experienced with computer programming (CAD/CAM) - Mastercam X9
- Experience in Solids, 3D, surfacing is an asset
- Mechanically inclined – able to use measuring instruments
- Able to work independently with little supervision
