Crestview Chrysler has a permanent full-time position open for a Journeyman Auto Body Technician
*SIGNING BONUS*Job Responsibilities:
- Review damage reports, prepare and review cost estimates, and plan work to be performed
- Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles
- Fit weld replacement parts into place using wrenches and welding equipment
- Remove damaged sections of vehicles using metalcutting guns, air grinders, and wrenches
- Adjust or align headlights, wheels, and brake systems
- Replace underbody components, front end components, body components, doors and frame
- Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills
- Bolt or weld replacement parts into place
- Remove, install, align, and repair panels
- Assist Auto Body Technicians with Vehicle construction, surface preparation and Application of Undercoats
- Cleaning, detailing upholstery, trim, and hardware
- Repair or replace interior components
- Straighten bent frames
- Fit and secure windows, vinyl roofs and metal trim to vehicle bodies
- Inspect vehicles for proper functioning, dimensional accuracy, and overall appearance
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications
- Perform work in a safe manner, based on Trade Safety Awareness
- Sign off on straight time hours for Apprentices
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Body Shop environment
- Completion of Red Seal Journeyperson Certification
- Unrestricted drivers license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmissions.
- Body Shop and automotive service knowledge and experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Advanced decisionmaking and problemsolving abilities
- Ability to prioritize and maintain professionalism during highvolume periods
- Selfdriven to work independently with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
