GFI is seeking two (2) Retail and Wholesale Trade Managers ("Trader") to join our team on a full time basis out of our Toronto office.
As a Trader, you will play a critical role in trading assigned commodities, developing and maintaining strong client relations, and developing a portfolio.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Selling pulses and specialty crops into South Asian and MENA markets from GFI's origins, with an emphasis on products originated from GFI's farmbased procurement in Canada, the US and Mexico.
- Develops and maintain a portfolio of revenuegenerated clients cold calling is essential;
- Strong networking skills and regular followups with potential clients.
- Build and uphold strong relationships with new & existing clients and provide excellent customer service.
- Keeping an uptodate knowledge of the markets to ensure realtime price discovery.
- Ability to analyze market research, identify trends, and risk management strategies.
- Analyze markets and monitor market trends to capitalize on purchasing and sales opportunities to maximize profitability.
- Strong team player, working with other traders on execution, contributing to fostering a positive work culture and experience.
- Knowing the specifics of current inventory, including expected deliveries
- Assisting management with planning and budgeting
- Traveling for trade shows, conferences and other events
- Other responsibilities as required or assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of experience and knowledge in International sales and trade focused on South Asian and MENA markets
- Agricultural commodities/Pulses trading experience is an asset
- Fluency in English is required. Fluency in Hindi, Bangla, Urdu, and/or Arabic is preferred.
- Postsecondary education in business or similar field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Flexible to work according to different time zones.
