Kichton Construction LP is looking for an experienced Foreman to join our fast-growing Fort McMurray team. We are looking for an adaptable individual looking to learn and grow within our company. This position would work for Kichton Construction LP at a client location.

Successful applicants must complete pre-employment Drug & Alcohol testing.


This position may be required to complete random Drug & Alcohol testing through their employment in accordance with the Canadian Model based on project and Client requirements.


Job Summary


The Foreman is responsible for facilitating and organizing all crews, equipment, and materials to complete work scopes in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

The Foreman must be able to work safely and efficiently and positively participate in our Company safety culture.


Responsibilities

  • Review, understand, and follow all safe work practices and procedures.
  • Lead and mentor employees in safe work practice and knowledge.
  • Maintain regular communication with Supervisors and Project Managers regarding projects' process, risks, and forecasts.
  • Establish and maintain highest quality of task completion and materials.
  • Facilitate morning toolbox talks and site/company meetings.
  • Ensure employees review, understand, and follow all Company policies.
  • Coach and discipline employees who are not meeting performance standards or violate Company policies.
  • Complete daily documentation thoroughly, including: FLHAs (Field Level Hazard Assessments), timesheets, pre
- and post-inspections of all tools and equipment, and any other paperwork required.

  • Report incidents, near misses, equipment damage, and hazards to Supervisors immediately.
  • Groundwork as required.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience leading crews in civil construction and mining environments.
  • 10+ years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License without restrictions.
  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or equivalent.
