Blume is a young and energetic brokerage company in the natural food and products industry.

We represent a number of leading brands in health, bodycare, and grocery and work with distributors, natural retailers, and conventional retailers on a national level.

We are looking for a self-motivated rockstar to work as part of our growing team


This is a management role and is a hybrid between managing some national key accounts with a primary focus on grocery brand management.


Brand Management Role Responsibilities:


  • Act as point of contact for all Blume grocery brands
  • Manage and execute brand planning
  • Strategize brand positioning in the marketplace, pricing and distribution channels
  • Stay on top of natural grocery market trends, competitors, and retailer activity to maximize growth opportunities
  • Assist brands with required POS material development and sales presentations, etc.
  • Work directly with sales team to answer requests and strategize brand growth in all regions
  • Give brands marketplace feedback and assist with brand innovations
  • Assist brands and account managers with forecasting for direct accounts and distributors
  • Track spending against budget and makes appropriate recommendation necessary to ensure we meet the yearly forecast goals
  • Assist brands with price increases, new launches, improvement and rationalization initiatives
  • Manage all grocery brand distribution channels

Key Account Manager Role Responsibilities:


  • Increase brand sales by maintaining relationships with key accounts and building new business
  • Meet with/present to head office buyers to secure product listings and line extensions
  • Plan and execute account promotions
  • Visit accounts for audits/retail management (when needed)
  • Administrative duties: powerpoint presentations, submission/listing forms, update monthly sales targets and promotional calendars

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in grocery industry as a brand manager
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in account management in the Canadian natural food and products industry (grocery)
  • Established relationships with mass grocery buyers considered an asset
  • Selfmotivated, able to work independently and remotely
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook)
  • Must have valid driver's license with access to a vehicle
  • Bilingual an asset but not required
