Valve Labourer - Lively, Canada - Lakeside Process Controls Ltd.

What you will be doing in the role of Valve Labourer:
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Clean valves and valve components using bead blaster, parts washer, and other manual methods
- Sweep and clean shop floor
- Clean machine tools
- Assist valve technicians in valve disassembly, assembly, and testing of valves
- Paint and palletize valves
- Load and unload trucks with forklift
- Yard maintenance
- Assist Valve Technicians in field service as required
- Enter valve dimensions and details into computer system
- Make valve name plates and seal PRV's
- Occasional travel to customer sites to support Service Technician team
- Prepare products for shipping, arrange pickups, track shipments
- Warehouse/inventory tracking using computerbased tools
Knowledge and skills required for the role:
- High school diploma required
- Technician/Technologist College diploma in related field an asset
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Mechanical interest and aptitude
- Three (3) years of experience working in an industrial shop or shipping/warehouse environment
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality assurance
- Computer literacy
- Competent in the use of hand, and power tools
- Experience working with forklifts
