This position plays a key role in the digital development team within Nutrien's IT Digital Delivery Center (DDC). The DDC oversees and executes design, development, and delivery of digital and custom solutions for Nutrien. The DDC focuses on driving value from Nutrien's strategic digital technology investments by delivering exceptional experiences and placing humans and customer obsession at center of what we do, what we develop and how we deliver and sustain our digital assets.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Digital Application Development.

What you will do:

• Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable and efficient software solutions according to project requirements and best practices
• Managing and optimizing scalable distributed systems on the cloud, optimization of web applications for performance and scalability
• Working closely with offshore development teams to align on sustainment and maintenance goals, facilitate knowledge transfer, and ensuring smooth collaboration across different time zones and cultures
• Collaborating with the developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience and platform stability
• Understand the digital platforms and subsequent business processes supported to ensure
• Provide portfolio level reporting and visibility into the performance of the digital teams supporting the applications and processes
• Conducting thorough tech focused reviews to ensure adherence to standards, maintainability, and scalability, providing constructive feedback to team members and approving pull requests promptly
• Actively involved in technical data remediation to ensure the platform is high functioning and risk adverse while staying current and reliable
• Serving as a technical leader within the team, guiding and mentoring junior engineers, sharing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in computer engineering/computer science or related field
• 6+ years of relatable experience including professional programming, .NET or .NET Core developer, AWS and cloud systems (S3, RDS, API gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB), GitLab/GitHub, SQL and/or NoSQL, and proficient with Jira
• Experience coding, testing, and deploying environments with serverless backend services
• Strong knowledge of and experience with using web services, RESTful API, and web protocols
• Experience working in an agile team and have participated in agile ceremonies
