    We are looking for a Scalehouse Clerk at our Walker Aggregates Niagara locations.

    Scalehouse Clerk

    Ideally, you have the following qualifications:

    • At least a year's experience in a customer service role
    • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Comfortable working in a variety of different settings
    • Valid G Driver's License and reliable transportation to a number of our Niagara sites.
    • Excellent work ethic, punctual and flexibility are required.

    Practical Details

    • Weighs and documents each truck leaving the quarry to ensure that loads are correct and do not violate safety transportation regulations.
    • Responds to customer inquiries and to provide information on products and materials. Refers customers to sales representatives as necessary.
    • Receives payments in cash, cheque and credit cards and completes appropriate documentation to ensure records, orders and cash receipts balance.
    • Produces a variety of reports such as Transaction Reports, Sales Data Reports and Cash Sales Reports, to provide current information to various departments.
    • Operates a three way radio system to communicate with various colleagues at the quarry and assist in the smooth running of quarry operations.
    • Opens and closes the scale house to ensure systems such as computers, security etc., are operating correctly.

    This role may also be cross-trained without our sales team in roles such as inside sales and dispatcher roles for occasional coverage.
