SUMMARY OF POSITION:
_

The Outlets Manager will be responsible for the promotion, success and daily operations of Reflect Restaurant, the hotels 140-seat Restaurant & Lounge, Executive Opal Lounge and In-Room Dining functions


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Monitors the department's actual and projected sales to ensure revenue goals are met or exceeded and opportunities are identified and addressed.
  • Ensures cash control and liquor control policies are in place in food & beverage areas and followed by all related employees.
  • Maintain excellent service standards throughout the Restaurant, Lounge, and In-Room Dining.
  • Oversee all payroll, scheduling, F&B accounting, inventory and general correspondence.
  • Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Recognize and supply solutions for service team members when addressing service/guest issues.
  • Sets expectations and holds team accountable for demonstrating desired service behaviors.
  • Ensure financial success of the department by monitoring productivity, revenues, and costs.
  • Works with team to determine areas of concern and develop strategies to improve the department's financial performance.
  • Oversees ordering and purchasing strategy for equipment and supplies.
  • Focuses on maintaining profit margins without compromising guest or employee satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain a safety culture within the department and ensure departmental adherence to and awareness of Health & Safety standards.
  • Responsible for coordinating and arranging all departmental training initiatives, performance reviews, scheduling, payroll/daily sales and labour, inventory, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Ensuring all Service Guarantees and commitments are met.
  • Assist in building Reflect restaurant's client base and reputation.
  • Work with the Director of Operations and Executive Chef in planning and executing promotions.
  • Coordinate effectively with the Kitchen and other departments.
  • Participate actively in a multifunctional team environment.
  • Be supportive of creativity and innovation, and maintain a high level of professionalism and quality service.
  • Lead by example, while maintaining and enhancing employee morale.
  • Work towards continuous improvement and excellence

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Food & Beverage service, with minimum of 12 years F&B experience in a supervisory/managerial role in a hotel and/or restaurant environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of wine, spirits, beers and food trends.
  • Postsecondary education in hospitality or a related field is a definite asset.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and guest service skills.
  • Must be a selfstarter with exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills to enhance both the presentation and service standards throughout the operation.
  • Outstanding team player, able to motivate and support employees
  • Must have Serving it Right certificate.
  • Must have systems knowledge
  • Word, Excel, Micros, and various PC based systems.
  • Food & Beverage administration experience (scheduling, payroll, written and oral correspondence, F&B accounting and inventory)
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and as necessary to meet the guests, the business and team member needs.
  • Must have the ability to supervise, train and develop.
  • Ability to work effectively in an innovative, fastpaced and multitasked environment
