Project Manager, Planning and Development

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Work directly and cooperatively with Team Members within the Cavanagh Group of Companies to achieve project approvals in a timely manner.
  • Experience working on both urban and rural residential subdivision development projects within the City of Ottawa and neighbouring Municipalities an asset.
  • Working knowledge of current standard urban design and civil design practices of multiuse land development projects.
  • Coordinate and manage Project Consultant Team to obtain required submission materials on time and within budget.
  • Oversee project budgets and cashflows against approved Proformas
  • Participate in relevant industry events and committees
  • Monitor and report on relevant industry issues as well as project related issues at City Council, Community Council, Committees of Council and Public Meetings
  • Provide planning advice regarding land use matters to Team Members within the Cavanagh Group of Companies.

Requirements:


  • Minimum of 5 years directly related experience
  • Degree in Urban Planning or equivalent
  • Experience with COR (Certificate of Recognition) an asset
