- Providetraining and coaching to clients and caregivers with regular home visits in the community; the successful candidate will be required to provide hands-on care as the on-call Nurse as needed.
- Conduct ongoing community outreach and networking by building positive and collaborative partnerships within the community that will promote this innovative approach to home care.
- Supervise and support all employees to ensure compliance with all federal and provincial legislated standards of practice as well as company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with Human Resources concerning recruitment and selection, orientation and training, discipline, and annual performance review of reporting Neighborhood Health Team members.
- A current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) registration with BCCNM.
- Current and valid CPR certification.
- A minimum of five (5) years of recent nursing experience, preferably in a community setting.
- Experience with business development is a strongly preferred asset.
- A reliable vehicle and willingness to travel to visit clients within the community (roughly 70% in the field); mileage is reimbursed.
- A solid knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods of community nursing and service delivery to clients as well as program development, implementation and evaluation.
