Associated with the clinic is a full optical boutique (Mitchell & Phillips Optical) offering the latest in glasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses administered by our licensed Optician.
We are located in downtown Vancouver on the sixth floor of the Scotia Tower. The tower is at the intersection of West Georgia Street and Seymour Street. The practice was founded in the 1960's by Dr. Frank W. Fraser. It moved to the Toronto Dominion Tower in 1971 and to it's newest location in Scotia Tower in 2003.Job description

We are located in downtown Vancouver on the sixth floor of the Scotia Tower West Georgia Street). The tower is at the intersection of Georgia Street and Seymour Street. The practice was founded in the 1960's by Dr. Frank W. Fraser. It moved to the Toronto Dominion Tower in 1971 and to it's newest location in Scotia Tower in 2003.Working directly with the Office Manager, Optometrist, and Optician, the office assistant (receptionist) will be responsible for a variety of duties, which includes, but not limited to the following:
- Greet all patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Administer pretests for patients.
- Assist the Optician or Optometrist when required.
- Schedule eye exam appointments.
- Book appointments for patients with other optometry or ophthalmology clinics.
- Maintain accurate record keeping and update all patient files and reports.
- Maintain a clean, safe, fully stocked, and wellorganized reception/office area.
Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Previous front desk, concierge experience working with seniors' community is desirable but not needed.
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Quick learner with technology and other programs.
- Ability to have a flexible schedule.
Job Types:
Part-time or full-time
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 6 to 8 Hour shifts. Ability to work any day/time from Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
Salary:
$17.00 per hour
(opportunity for a raise)
