    LinkedIn Position Overview:

    The City of Saint John is actively seeking a student to join our team for the summer months.

    Under the general supervision of the Manager, Risk, Analytics and Support, the position is responsible for a variety of clerical and administrative duties necessary to support fire management staff. Primary role will be to assist with the implementation of a Records Management System at Saint John Fire, with focus on data import required from Fire Prevention and Inspection Division.

    Key Responsibilities:


    •Responds to internal/external clients' inquiries, ensuring that all customer inquiries are aligned to the best possible resource.


    •Where required, enters fire inspection and incident reporting information into the system.


    •Performs general office duties as requires including keyboarding, photocopying and filing.


    •Data Entry AND Populating Standardize Forms including importing information from existing systems to the new platform.


    •Uses computer, H T E related application, calculator, Interact machine, and general office equipment.

    Education and Experience:

    A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems is required.

    Ideal candidate will be a student in Office Administration or Business Administration with an interest in data management and analytics.

    The successful applicant will work a compressed work week of 4 days (Monday to Thursday) under the City's newly adopted Compressed Work Week Policy Trial.
