Job Overview As a Bookkeeper, you are responsible for carrying out the full range of duties as outlined below and instructed by the Department Manager in a professional, responsible, accurate and timely manner.
You will deliver exceptional customer service by fostering customer loyalty, fulfilling customer needs, and actively contributing to an environment of employee and customer engagement.
Accurately verify paper currency, change, credit card receipts and checks, and totals against print outsEfficiently count and verify funds in a safe and prepare for pick-up by an armoured carrier
Ensure all products received at store level are accurately recorded, entered into the system and verified by Store Leader
Submit invoices weekly to H.O to ensure timely vendor payment
Receive and accurately break down funds delivered by armoured carrier
Efficiently and accurately prepare statistical reports as needed
Accurately reconcile refunds/voids on a daily basis
Proactively assist in customer service area during break relief and busy periods
Effectively multitask and apply sound organizational skills ensuring deadlines are met
Proactively answer phone calls directed to you and reply to all email correspondence in a timely manner
Maintain a clean and organized work area Qualifications
2 years' bookkeeping experience
Cash handling and customer service experience
Previous administrative experience an asset
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Excellent computer skills; familiarity with Outlook, Word and Excel Perks of the Job
