We are a modern cabinet manufacturing company in Surrey and are looking for an experienced carpenter to join our team in the role of Service Technician.
In this position, you will be servicing (repair, finish or install residential cabinets, parts, or hardware) on the job site.
Exceptional customer care and satisfaction skills are required when communicating with external and internal customers.Duties and Responsibilities
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Site Appointments
- Pick up replacement parts/cabinets and delivery to site
- To work with Site Supervisor and complete ongoing site work
2. Service Appointments
- Travel to site to assess homeowner concerns and provide efficient solutions
- Usage of hand tools and relative techniques to repair damaged cabinets or hardware
3. Reporting
- To provide customer care with signed paperwork by homeowner
- Completion of ongoing site work to be reported to Site Supervisor and manager
- To fill out Service Order when required on site and provide to manager
- To relay any homeowner concerns, missed appointments or words of encouragement to manager
4. Vehicle
- Must bring their own vehicle to work for the transport of goods and products, and travel among various construction sites
- Operate a company vehicle using good judgment, abiding by all traffic laws and regulations
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and service requirements
Employment Requirements
- Red Seal in Cabinet Maker or Joiner or Carpenter or equivalent experience in millwright industry
- Valid BC driver's license (class 5) with a clean Abstract as well as own vehicle
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment etc.
- Positive attitude, courteous manner, personality and flexibility
- Full time work (40 hours) Monday
- Friday, occasionally Saturday's
Shift:
7:30AM - 4:00pm
- Skills and Experience
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to operate woodworking equipment and hand power tools
- Ability to repair, finish or install residential cabinets, parts, or hardware
- Read drawings and specifications to install cabinets and prepare service order
- Strong communication, problem solving, troubleshooting and organizational skills.
- Able to use smartphone
- Works well under stress in a fastpaced environment
Salary:
From $19.00 per hour
