Position Purpose


This position has overall responsibility for all warehouse and distribution operations at our Oakville, Ontario Customer Fulfillment Center, which includes, but is not limited to all receiving, put-away, picking, shipping, inventory accuracy, facility maintenance, and equipment care.

Provide leadership and direction to warehouse workers, and delivery drivers, and oversight of the assembly operation. Respond to internal and external customers in a timely manner.

Ensure compliance and adherence to all applicable internal and regulatory requirements for Occupational Safety and Health and maintains Saxco safety standards.


Primary responsibilities:


  • Directs all activities associated with the successful warehouse operations in our Oakville, Ontario facility.
  • Responsible for managing the warehouse operations processes associated with Labor Scheduling, Receiving, putting away, Inventory Control & Cycle Counting, Picking, Shipping, Assembly and Reverse Logistics.
  • Supports compliance with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations; maintains and coordinates all areas of warehouse security.
  • Monitors performance and productivity measures for the operation using KPI methodology.
  • Monitors the performance of staff members to ensure compliance with policies, practices, and approved standard operating procedures; develops and updates standard operating procedures to facilitate smooth warehouse operations.
  • Supervises warehouse staff including performance management, development, and training
  • Ensures that warehouse material handling equipment is maintained and in proper working order.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours, as needed, in order to meet service requirements.
  • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with Warehouse, Sales, Purchasing, Accounting, and Customer Service associates.
  • Manage all shipping and receiving records, handle questions or concerns of shipping shortages, overages or missed picks, and resolve with customer service.
  • Manage and execute all kitting and assembly projects in the Oakville facility. This includes staffing, scheduling, training, evaluating, costing, and reporting the results of each project.
  • Meet or exceed established goals relative to ontime delivery, shipping and inventory accuracy, and production schedules.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
  • Travel up to 15%

**Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or 58 years of management in distribution, logistics, business, or manufacturing environment in lieu of degree.
  • Must have 3+ years of warehouse leadership experience.
  • Must have 3+ years leading others in the warehouse environment.
  • Must have a bias for process improvement, and change while acting as a servant leader for warehouse associates.
  • Must be proficient with MS 365 Suit (Excel, Word, WMS, ERP systems experience required) **Microsoft AX Dynamics is a preferred.

  • Demonstrated strength in written and verbal communication, excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Thirdparty logistics.
  • Lean warehouse operations and staff focused on performance metrics and Lean process improvements.
  • Demonstrated skills in problem solving, statistics, and quality.
  • Ability to prepare cost estimates, justifications, and financial analyses.
  • Proven track record of maintaining high level of employee morale through team building and counseling.
  • Lean Six Sigma green belt or higher is a plus.
  • Customerfocused and resultsoriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change while improving efficiencies and processes. Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs.
  • Uses creativity to seek quality solutions and process improvements.
