    Your Opportunity

    We're looking for a Memory Care Manager. The successful candidate will be a compassionate and caring individual who has experience supporting residents with dementia and cognitive impairment. This role involves committing to ensuring residents are embraced while providing person-centered care and engaging programs to residents while assistingin maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, their families' andother staff in accordance with Seasons vision, mission and values. This role will also oversee and support the Memory Care teamto ensure staff provide meaningful interactions with residents.

    What You Will Do:

  • Assists inthe assessment and orientation of new residents and following up on residentsthroughout the transition to their new home and as health care changes occur
  • Providesleadership and direction to the Memory Care service team members
  • Responsiblefor scheduling, payroll, budgeting and appropriating staff hours within theMemory Care department
  • Recruitment,hiring, orientation and in-service training of all care staff as well asmanaging the care staff at the home. Empowering Seasons' care staff to work totheir full potential and providing guidance and support throughout their careerat Seasons
  • Plans astructured daily activity program in keeping with Seasons' guidelines
  • Providessupport and responses to resident and family inquiries and concerns.
  • Promotes ahealthy lifestyle for residents by embracing each resident as an individual andensure residents receive person centered care at Seasons
  • EnsuringCompliant with Resident Assessments/Service Plans (PCC) and follows Seasons andRHRA Regulations
  • Risk Managementis adhered to through monthly care related audits, Retirement Home Regulatory Authorityinspections and Public Health Inspections
  • Qualifications or Skills Required:

  • Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory
  • Current First Aid and CPRcertification
  • Current Safe Food Handler'sCertification
  • Progressiveor supervisory experience with positive management techniques for addressingcomplex behaviors related to dementia care/cognitive impairment
  • Progressiveor supervisory experience in an environment within the healthcare industry andworking knowledge of resident engagement programs
  • Strong oraland written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills inrelation to the healthcare sector
  • Strong leadership skills in relationto promoting exceptional care of Seasons' Memory Care residents and mentoringof the Memory Care team
  • Ability tocreate meaningful programs and activities for our Memory Care Residents
  • Successfulcompletion of post-secondary diploma in one of the following areas of study:dementia care, gerontology, kinesiology or rehabilitation from recognizededucational institution OR relative professional equivalency
  • Class G driver's license with cleardriver's abstract
  • All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada. As acondition of employment, a Criminal Record Search which may include avulnerable sector screen, will be required.
