    Description

    Our client is a rapidly growing Snowflake Services Partner in North America, seeking 10 Intermediate Data Engineers to join their remote team in LATAM.

    This is a long-term contract opportunity with no specified end date.

    The role is fully remote, and candidates from any location in Latin America are welcome, as long as there is a significant overlap with the PST time zone.

    Fluency in English (B2 level or higher) is required for effective communication.

    Engage with internal technical teams and potentially business-oriented clients: understand customer data needs and contribute to developing appropriate solutions.

    Gather data from diverse sources - databases, APIs, logs - and integrate it into a consolidated data ecosystem.

    Execute data cleaning, structuring, and transformation activities to ensure data is ready for analysis.

    Manage databases, including creating and optimizing database structures, enhancing query performance, and ensuring data integrity.

    Build and maintain ETL pipelines, involving data extraction, transformation, and loading into a database or data warehouse.

    Ensure data quality, set up data validation checks, and address data issues promptly to uphold accuracy and reliability.
    Enthusiasm for data and commitment to engineering excellence
    Proficiency in SQL, adept at writing complex queries, optimizing database performance, and designing efficient schemas.
    Demonstrated ability to create and manage data models, encompassing conceptual, logical, and physical aspects.
    Knowledge of data warehousing principles and hands-on experience with solutions like Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake (preferred)
    Mid-level expertise in building data solutions using traditional and/or big data technologies
    Exposure to software engineering is beneficial
    Knowledge of Modern Data Workflows (DBT, Airflow, Prefect, Dagster)
    Proficiency in Programming Languages (Python, JavaScript, Kotlin, Java)
    Experience with Big Data Platforms (Apache Spark, Presto, Amazon EMR)
    Familiarity with Cloud Data Warehouses (Snowflake Data Cloud, Google BigQuery, DataBricks Lakehouse, Azure Synapse)
    Proficiency in Databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySql, Oracle, Vertica)
    Familiarity with Visual Analytics Tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI)
    Exposure to Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Technologies (Amazon Sagemaker, Azure ML Studio)
    Knowledge of Streaming Data Ingestion and Analytics (Amazon Kinesis, Apache Kafka)

    Successful candidates will need to sign a standard non-moonlighting agreement before commencing employment.
