For 23 years, Payne Transportation has been providing comprehensive Transportation and Logistics solutions for clients across Canada and the continental USA.

We currently have an exceptional opportunity for an _Account Manager (_ _Outside Sales)_ to represent an asset-based company, building new customers through sales and logistics.

For this position experience in the transportation sector is preferred, both domestically and internationally. This position will report to the Director of Sales & Marketing.

  • Responsible for securing new customers, introducing new services, and building a new book of business in the Calgary and surrounding areas
  • Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure customers are receiving the service they have come to expect from Payne Transportation
  • The _Outside Sales Account Manager _position will be salary based with bonus

Account Manager Responsibilities:


  • Prospect and call on new accounts
  • Help facilitate the onboarding of new customers
  • Maintain the relationship with the customer
  • Work with dedicated Operation and Sale teams
  • Updating calls and activities in CRM, sales reporting and expense accounts.
  • Travel within assigned territory

What you will need to succeed in this role:

  • Most suited to a motivated professional with a minimum of 5-10 years outside sales experience. Experience in the trucking/logistics industry consider an asset.
  • Understanding of transportation equipment and industry
  • Strong Negotiating Skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional Customer Service Attitude
  • Must be organized, and manage time effectively
  • Manage challenges with a professional manner both external and internal
  • Good communication, listening, and problemsolving skills

Salary:
$75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
