Job summary
As a collaborative member of the health care team the Secretary provides secretarial and administrative support within a team setting Maintains a safe environment for patients families and staff by adhering to safety policies procedures guidelines and emergency procedures.
,- Receive calls from all sources including patients refers calls to other parties or provides information as appropriate determines urgency of incoming calls takes appropriate action relays information to and from clinical staff outside facilities obtains reports by contacting appropriate departments or outside sources coordinates appointments tests for patients in collaboration with the clinical team accesses patient information system retrieve patient data arrange meetings conferences associated logistics act recording secretary preparing agenda drafting typing distributing minutes prepare materials required open screen prioritize distribute mail maintain information correspondence format edit documents routine items signature assist clinicians preparation research documents grant applications collating updating performing related duties assigned.
